Thank you for the enlightening post. I myself am a trainee in internal medicine (with a part 1) who is seriously thinking of switching to Anaesthesia, so I would be very glad if you could reply to my following queries (and strenghthen my determination :P ):
1. Do you predict that demand for anaesthesiologists will persist in the coming 6-7 years?
2. How do you think the advent of MD (CCM) will affect the role of Anaesthesiologists in the ICU?
3. Which degree do you think should be the primary target of an aspiring Anaesthesiologist?
